Car Battery Replacement

We target a 30-minute response. Actual arrival times vary with location, traffic, demand and technician availability, so call 1300 121 595 to confirm coverage and dispatch.

Yes. We test your battery, starter and alternator first to confirm the battery is genuinely the fault and not a charging issue. That way you're not paying for a new battery when the real problem lies elsewhere in the system.

Eligible batteries supplied by MS Road Assist receive a two-year warranty from the invoice date, covering the battery, fitting labour and a warranty return callout subject to invoice terms. Availability and vehicle matching are confirmed by phone.

Mobile battery replacement starts from $189, plus applicable service charges and GST. The final phone quote is confirmed before dispatch or work and stays fixed once accepted unless you request additional work. No annual membership is required.

Most car batteries last around 3 to 5 years in Australian conditions, though extreme heat in cities like Brisbane, Perth and the Gold Coast can cut that short. If your battery is over three years old or cranking slowly, it's worth testing — we check your battery, starter and alternator on the spot so you can replace it before it strands you.

Membership services and pay-as-you-go assistance use different pricing models. MS Road Assist has no annual fee, membership, contract or waiting period. Call 1300 121 595 when you need help; we confirm the final phone quote before dispatch or work, and the accepted quote stays fixed unless you request additional work. Which model costs less depends on how often you need roadside help and the terms of the alternative service.

No. MS Road Assist is fully independent — we don't process insurance claims on behalf of other providers, and we're not affiliated with any roadside membership club or competitor brand. You deal directly with us on a simple pay-as-you-go basis, with no third party involved.
